When the great Saint was returning from Iraq to the spot where he was in the 21st year of his stay in Baghdad, he arrived at Ghazwa Banoo satta (field of confluence) in Murmuri where he performed his Ziyarat on that spot. There were so many people there who were very grateful toHazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma for this blessed event. When he performed the prayer of 40 salaats in Ghazwa Banoo satta, he found the area to be so beautiful that he wanted to stay there for a long time. His followers, however, told him that it was too far and that it was late and asked him to return to Baghdad. The next day, he completed his further Ziyarat on the spot and then returned to Baghdad. When he arrived, he ordered some fresh water to be brought to him and when he took a sip from it, it was so hot that it burned him. In his surprise, he asked people to fetch the water back and have it cooled. When this water was returned toHazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma, he found that the water had become cool.
WhenHazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma was conducting his Fajr Salaah, he saw a scorpion in the ashes. He noticed that it had crushed a toad and was trying to climb the wall. When he put his foot on the wall, he found that it was on a slippery surface, which was causing the scorpion to slip. He realised that this scorpion was intended to kill him and began to shout at the top of his voice, Damn you! You scorpion! Why have you chosen me for your victim? Others who heard him cry out Allahu Akbar began to scatter and by the time they had returned to his side, they found him asleep, still shouting in the spirit.
Once Hazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma was leaning on a wall inside the Masjid-e-Jami. He was dressed in a silk overcoat and was sitting on a chair. He was in his normal state and his eyes were open. He was having a conversation with his friend and mentor, Shaykh Abu Bakr Al-Bayhaqi. A girl came towards them and wanted to sit down. She was accompanied by a slave girl whose head was shaven and whose face was dirty. She asked a passer-by to buy her a drink of water from one of the manholes that were located nearby and which were used for the animals to drink water from. The passer-by agreed to this. Hazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma asked his friend and mentor, Shaykh Abu Bakr Al-Bayhaqi (Radiallahu Taala Anh), to pay the slave girl some money. He also asked him to invite the girl to sit with them so that she could not witness them making love. She was later asked to bring some coffee for them. She was also told to bring fresh drinking water for them from the well that was nearby. The girl left and did as her master had requested. Before she left, the girl bade farewell to Hazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma and wished him well. He gave her an additional gift of ten dirhams and she left. Once Hazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma came to the graveyard of Abu Bakr Al-Bayhaqi (Radiallahu Taala Anh). He saw a stone bowl in which he saw a spirit of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), and so he wished him Allah’s mercy. The spirit questioned him about the reason for his visiting him. He told him that he could see him in a dream. The spirit then told him that he had to fill the bowl with blessings and that he should first drink the juice and then accept the blessings in front of the people. Hazrat Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma was very pleased to see the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in his dream and so he obediently obeyed the wishes of the spirit. 5ec8ef588b
