Operational rules of the game are the Soviet air force can provide air support and the Japanese army can contribute troops to combat. The game also allows the use of all the different types of units encountered in the Red Army in the Far East between 1946 and 1972. (SPG-1947)

– Most of the scenarios are based on a historical event.
– The game is played by 6 players, one player to represent the Japanese army, two players to represent the allies (USA, USSR, United Kingdom) and three players to represent the axis (Germany, Italy, Japan).
– All the game, except the scenarios, is played with a turn duration of 1 hour
– The Japanese player can use the General chart to activate the most expensive formation available of each type and each rank of the Japanese army
– Use the communist military doctrine to plan and guide your army movements
– The German government is represented by a simple control group that activates its initial units
– Use the democratic military doctrine to plan and guide your army movements
– Use the capitalist economic doctrine to plan and guide the production of your factories.
– Use the democratic political doctrine to plan and guide the trading of your factories.
– Use the communist diplomatic doctrine to activate diplomatic actions
– Use the zonal movements to move your army units (1 zone = 1 turn)
– Use the unpredictable units to gain decisive military advantage on the opponents
– You can activate the resources found in 1945 in the “Crown City” of Korea before the opening
You can save your game in the “Savegame” and always restore it from a hard disk to keep it on the 6 players configuration

Ever think of what happens to the earth’s ecosystem after one generation of life-forms have been wiped out? Would we be left with more space for the next generation? Or would the next generation be more suited to the original life forms’ ecosystem, much like humans are now able to live in a house after being used to tents and cave dwellings? There are no easy answers, but that’s part of the appeal of Stranded Deep, a game that tries to confront players with that scenario and more.

In Stranded Deep, you’re on a shipwreck at the bottom of the ocean and have to survive for as long as you can. Everything depends on the game’s weather. The shipwreck is in the desert, and there’s a strong tidal current which threatens to wash your ship away and causes the weather to shift rapidly, forcing players to adapt quickly. But if you’re lucky enough to find a place where the weather won’t change as quickly, then you can build your shelter and grow things to eat, much like in Life is Strange. However, after a few days the shifting weather will eventually start to get too much for you, and the tidal current will become a hurricane, making you beg for mercy from a nearby enemy. Stranded Deep’s genre may be described as survival or survival-horror, but what it really is is atmospheric survival.

In terms of the survival part, you’ll start to realise that a modicum of organisation will be required to keep yourself and your fellow stranded survivors alive. You have to be on top of the situation and work well together with your group. When the weather changes, it won’t always be a smooth transition. Sometimes you’ll find yourself in the deep red desert, and your base will start to take on a gruesome appearance. When that happens, it’s up to you to work quickly to make sure you’re well prepared for the next set of circumstances.

There are some of Stranded Deep’s strongest aspects. The system where the water and the mood in the game play off each other, as well as the aesthetic and design of the game, is phenomenal. The music is also suitably eerie, and matches the game’s atmosphere. The graphics are superb, with the depth and detail of the screen changing depending on the light levels. The sounds are also very atmospheric, including the high pitched
