this is the third time i have reinstalled windows 7 over the last 6 months, and i continue to have the same issues with wu not working. the only difference is that the third reinstall was when i had the ssd in the notebook and i was unable to re-activate the os and was forced to reinstall. after i installed the ssd, i could no longer get the wu to install anything new from the wu, nor was i able to download driver updates. the only way to get wu to work again is to go into device manager, disable driver signature enforcement, and re-enable it. i have to do this every single time i want to reinstall windows 7. drivers usually install fine, but wu stops working.

hello, i have windows 7 enterprise installed on my toshiba satellite l650d. i downloaded the latest firmware update for the graphics card and was able to update the display. i have a problem with the audio and the graphics card. the audio is working fine, but i have no sound in games (even after using the windows audio mixer, the game is still not producing any sound). the video card is also not displaying correctly. when i play a game, it will display fine, but after awhile the screen will go black and show a gray screen, or when i try to play a game in playstation, it will display fine, but when i move the controller the game will freeze. i have to hard reboot the computer to fix this problem.

hey, thank you so much, its like a miracle. i dont know if im a lucky guy or what, but thank you very much, thank you. anyway, i still have some questions. what do you think about malware i cant find anything on my system. everything is fine. maybe is just a program? i cant find anything. i think im ready to put the latest windows 10 update. any suggestions on this? is there an issue with the way you’ve installed vlc? it is normally included as a component of the windows 10 installation media and installed that way (via the main installation process, rather than through an.exe file). i have the same issue, windows 10 recently i had to reinstall my os and i thought it was fixed but it isnt. it still pops up when i try to install a program. i’m not 100% sure what the problem is but if it is a known issue you should be able to find a solution from the vista support site. upon first boot the windows logo, and then the windows screen, shows up and then the screen goes black. upon rebooting again, i’m told that my computer is running in safe mode. upon switching to windows 10’s built in troubleshooter, i’m told to reboot again to get to the options menu. i reboot the computer, and then the windows screen comes up. the windows logo then shows up, and then again the screen goes black. i’m not even given a chance to install anything. the windows logo, the start menu, and the windows screen come up, but then the screen goes black after the windows logo appears. after a reboot, the windows logo comes up, and then i’m told that windows is running in safe mode. 5ec8ef588b

following a suggestion from mike hughes, i tried setting cpu affinity for the ntpd process on the vista pc, gemini, to just a single cpu. i happened to choose cpu 1. it seems to have helped mike get better timekeeping. mike may force cpu on the ntpd.exe with the imgecfg.exe program, if the improvement continues. however, it didn’t seem to help me a lot, so i tried stopping ntp service, marking the image uni-processor only, and cpu-affinity 0x1 (i.e. cpu 0), and restarted. see: windowsitpro.com article and and brinkster.com article about using imagecfg.exe.
