to create a private server, you need the following:

a copy of final fantasy 14
an account on jagex (you can get a free account with a valid e-mail address)
a steam account and copy of the game client for the game
the steam client
a steam account

however, i’ll admit that i have already created a private server, but only because it was a lot of fun to do. on a whim, i created a final fantasy 14 private server, and while i did end up deleting it, you can still try it out by launching the game on the private server link.

my server uses the new patches that were released in march. while it may not be the ideal version of the game you will ever play, i could safely say that it is at least an improvement over what is currently available. in an effort to help out those of you that have been having issues with the current final fantasy 14 patch, i have written a guide with some of the fixes that i have made to my server. here are the fix list for private servers.

when this server was created, i was in a pinch for a server, as i was starting to lose interest in the game. however, i was playing it for the first time with an all-new set of players, and i wanted to make sure that we would all have a fun time together. i also wanted to show people that you dont have to spend a fortune to have a great server. my first server was a total flop, and i was really embarrassed about it. when i decided to try and create a private server, i felt like i had a new chance to show people how to build a great server, and i could still have fun playing along with the new people that i am now playing with.

private servers are not for everyone, and should only be considered if you can afford to buy some dedicated space on a server and have the necessary skills to get it running. on the plus side, you can keep your original accounts, and use the same character names that you have used before. that means you can bring all your old friends with you, and you can just use the same name you used in the first game you play. lastly, the people who run the servers generally put in a lot of time and effort to keep it running. in addition, most of the servers provide a lot of services, such as irc (internet relay chat), forums, and in-game events. we are still waiting to see what gravity has to say about the matter. we will let you know as soon as we get any more updates on this subject. if you are planning on creating your own private server, then there is no better time to do it than right now. gravity has tried to make the game easier to develop and play by using unreal engine 4, and they are making it even easier to make your own private server. gravity did not put much effort into the online servers, so the potential to make your own server is there for you to make it happen. gravity will most likely not have any plans to patch the game for a while as the company is getting its house in order. they will also not be taking any legal action against any private server. however, at this point, there are many things that you can do. you can either make your own server or join a public server that you like. the choice is yours. it is a very good thing that they chose to make the game so easy to make a private server. this gives you and your friends a lot of freedom to play the game the way you want. its great when companies allow us to do this. 5ec8ef588b
