This is a Fantasy Action RPG that combines the action elements of the ARPG genre with the rich fantasy elements of the RPG genre.
The world of Tarnished, where players experience the fantasy action game, is divided into two parts: the Lands Between and the World. The Lands Between are vast open spaces of various sizes, and present a wide variety of environments. The World is a fantasy world with a variety of civilizations.
In the game, players take on the role of an Elden Lord and their party of Tarnished Knights to save the People of the World from the invasion of the Dolmens. The story unfolds as the players reach the destination of their journey and fight against the Dolmens’ attacks, which occur frequently in different fields and dungeons.
The story in the game is divided into three parts: Part 1: “Beyond the Border,” Part 2: “Tarnished Knights,” and Part 3: “An Elden Lord’s Journey.” All three parts can be played alone, and most of the events occur at once. However, the order of gameplay does not necessarily match the chronological order of the narrative.
• THE FAR COUNTRYSIDE IN THE WORLD OF TARNISHED
Rising from the Dormant Ruins in the Lands Between, a huge number of enemies suddenly invade the lands, causing chaos in this wide area. All fields and dungeons are periodically attacked by the Dolmens, who have no mercy on the People. While fighting these Dolmen, which have invaded a large variety of fields and dungeons, the Tarnished Knights will occasionally encounter other denizens that they must protect.
Traveling from one place to another in the fields and dungeons, the characters battle the Dolmens as they move. During their travels, the party may meet other travelers who will wish to join in their adventure.
In the World, the Tarnished Knights also participate in the Adventurer League, where they participate in events according to their skills. The Adventurer League is also considered as the backbone of Tarnished’s multiplayer aspect. There are many Adventurers that can be added to the party. Although it is possible to travel alone and perform quests, more fun is gained from traveling with companions.
