It’s one of those traditions that makes Christmas light shows look so innocent compared to today’s huge, multi-million dollar productions. The Santa North Pole station is a station on the Southern Redwood Highway in the North Park neighborhood of Mill Valley, California, about two miles from the gates of the 101-mile boundary. It’s a huge structure made of redwood and metal and stands atop a 30-foot pole—with a Christmas tree perched on top of the pole, of course.

This year, to celebrate California’s 200th Anniversary, residents from the surrounding area have been piling out their trucks and vans in the wee hours of Christmas morning to decorate the trees with hundreds of thousands of lights.

When it comes to the Christmas tree lighting, Catholics do as the Christian Church has done for centuries—we pray as a community gathered in the expectation and hope of Jesus’ birth. We pray for the wishes of the people. We pray for the gifts of the people. We pray for the leaders who will guide us all as we honor the Baby born in a stable. We pray for the World He came into this time.

In the Pacific Catholic tradition, as well as many others, we have a traditional blessing at our weekly Eucharistic liturgies for each of our three local churches: St. James Roman Catholic Church in Saratoga, on Mountainview Avenue in Saratoga, St. Laurence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church on Quella Avenue in Greenbrae, and St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Saratoga.

This is a very joyful time in which we celebrate the birth of Jesus our Redeemer. And it is joy that we bring to the whole world, for He brings us back to the heart of the Church. He brings us back to the heart of the Spouse, to the heart of the Church. It is so miraculous to me that at the Western rite, a largely English-speaking part of the world, the child born in a stable is anointed. This sanctifies His birth in bringing us the living God. We are reminded that He came from the Mother of God—the Church—to dwell among us, that He may dwell in us. And as John the Baptist pointed to Jesus in the wilderness, He prepares us as we celebrate, the Church prepares to receive Him.

I am 99% certain that the randomised version you ask for comes from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis port of Galactix. If you refer to the description you linked to, you will find an image of the Amiga version of the game, available from the same web page that you linked to.
It’s possible that it’s a slightly modified version of that Amiga port, but I have no documentation to support that (and I don’t have the code to find out more). I also can’t remember where I got the information.
