Python subprocess and Python-Cookiecutter

I’m trying to use python-cookiecutter ( to create a project with the newly available Python 3.6 and pip3. The cookiecutter succeeds but when I run pip3 install requests or pip3 install python-requests or pip3 install python-pip as per the instructions, it says it can’t find the module. I know that the cookiecutter doesn’t install anything, but I’m trying to figure out why pip can’t find the module after the cookiecutter has installed it.


Run sudo pip3 install –upgrade pip3.
